Mr. Byrne is a corporate and entertainment lawyer and business consultant. He has also been a board director on several public companies, including the 5th largest funeral services company in the nation, based in Tampa, and a leading third-party logistics provider out of Atlanta; he currently works with the public board of the 3rd largest school bus transportation company in North America, and with one of the largest truckload carriers in Ontario. Mr. Byrne specializes in both corporate and entertainment law. He provides advice on acquisitions, divestitures, investments and financings for clients, and has completed over 150 acquisition transactions.
Mr. Byrne’s clients in the entertainment field have included film and television producers Charliewood Pictures, Warrior Films and NYC-based Front and Center Entertainment, record labels Haven Sounds (Toronto), Bedlam Music Management and Dine Alone Records (Los Angeles), and the rock bands The Sheepdogs, Protest the Hero, Sum 41 and new Canadian recording artists Ria Mae and Bobby Love.
Mr. Byrne founded and is director of the BBF Foundation, a registered federal charity which grants bursaries to college-age students who have lost parents. Mr. Byrne also sat on the Board of Governors of the Ontario Junior ‘A’ Hockey League and has been counsel to the Oakville Blades OHA hockey team. Robert Byrne obtained his Law Degree from the University of Windsor after undergraduate studies in Economics. Mr. Byrne resides with his wife and two children in Oakville, Ontario.
